Mel Martinez is a disaster in the making.

...he suggested that he will continue to push for immigration reform.

‘’Border security only, enforcement only, harshness only is not the message I believe that America wants to convey,’’ Martinez said.

Actually, Mel, that is precisely the message America wants to convey.  That you and the President believe otherwise is an example of the tone deafness that caused the Republican massacre.  What is it about border enforcement that these guys do not get? 

Mind you, I still don’t believe immigration was the tipping point in this election (Iraq, scandal after scandal and spending run amok did that), but being wrong on immigration absolutely did not help.
