Williams gets Toyota engines next year

Dammit.  That might make Webber competitive if he ever makes it through turn one.

Williams have secured a three-year supply of Toyota engines which they believe will propel them back to the front in Formula One.

The former world champions have struggled this year with customer Cosworth engines after splitting with BMW last year, but will switch to Toyota power in 2007.

Team owner Sir Frank Williams, who last won a world title in 1997, is convinced a supply of works engines is crucial to their ability to compete at the very top in Formula One.

Of course, the Toyota engines haven’t helped Midland much.  Hell, they haven’t helped Toyota much for that matter, but it’s good to see Williams get rid of the Fords Cosworths and get a decent engine package again.  Now if they could just get a decent driver… And a car that isn’t a brick.
